Services
We are committed to quality translation and
typesetting services. With intimate familiarity with both Arab and
American cultures, we are able to capture the nuances of English and
Arabic. We have both the professional training and experience to make
your Arabic documents look as good as your English originals.
Quote
After filling out the Quote Form and
sending us your project (via fax, email, snailmail, etc.), we will provide you with an
estimate of the turnaround time and cost ASAP. The quote is always FREE.
Translation
Once your project's information is received, a professional
translator will perform the translation. This translator is always an Arabic native
speaker that is specialized in the concerned subject field assuring a more accurate and
reliable translation. Translation fields include, but are not limited to:
- Technical Manuals, Brochures, Newsletters
- General, Legal or Business Documents
- Software Translation (QA, Help, Documentation and Resource files),
Web Page Translation
Editing
An editor will then review the translation to make sure of the
following:
- Complete Text Translated
- Accuracy and Consistent Use of Terminology
- Grammatical Accuracy (including Spelling and Punctuation)
- Correct Use of Diacritics (vowel sounds)
- Flow of Text
- Correct Use of Acronyms and Abbreviations (if applicable)
- Editing can also be a stand-alone service.
Typesetting
Once your translation has been completed, we offer Arabic
typesetting capabilities if required. We will typeset your translated document to be ready
for the Arabic market taking into consideration the differences in language and culture.
We use the latest versions of Arabic Adobe InDesign ME, Arabic QuarkXpress, Arabic PageMaker,
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Arabic Microsoft Office and
NisusWriter, just to name a few. Typesetting can be a stand-alone service.
File Formats
We can provide the following file formats:
- QuarkXpress file (Mac):
We will provide the Arabic fonts which you should be put in your
Fonts Folder on your Mac before opening the file in order for you to
be able to
view, print and edit the Arabic text (resize, change leading, adjust kerning, move items,
etc.) on your English QuarkXpress for Mac. Nothing else is
required. It is that simple. Typing in Arabic is not possible on an English
version of QuarkXpress.
- Adobe PageMaker ME (Mac):
In this case you need Adobe PageMaker 5.5 or 6.5 ME (Middle Eastern Edition).
- Adobe Acrobat - PDF (Mac/PC):
We can convert any Arabic file into PDF (Portable Document Format). In this case you need
Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded free from www.adobe.com. This format does not require any Arabic
fonts to view or print the document.
- Adobe Illustrator EPS with Fonts Outlined (Mac/PC)
This is an excellent option as the Arabic fonts are not needed and
you are able to open the file in most English graphic programs as well
as insert it in most word processors.
You can edit the EPS using the English version of Adobe Illustrator and enlarge the image
without compromising its quality. This solution is perfect for labels or large signs etc.
- Adobe InDesign
CS ME (Mac)
You need to have the Adobe InDesign ME 3.0 or we can provide and EPS
outline or PDF version of the document.
- Other file
formats: MS Office applications (PC), NisusWriter (Mac), Trados
(PC), Images (BMP, TIFF, PICT, GIF, JPEG etc.)
